Artist Profile

 

Hong Dam (b.1970 - Vietnam) graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art Sculpture followed by an MA 3D Computer Visualisation and Animation. Hong has been a practising artistic for more than 20 years and has worked with a variety of media – including sculptures, words, films and finally settled on digital images.

 

Hong's personal work is a journey of self discovery; exploring the universal themes of love, separation and hope. She uses contemporary media to bring together the different facets of her childhood memories – the feelings of hopes and dreams of a child who had to flee her homeland in North Vietnam as arefugee.

 

Since 1996 Hong has worked as a Digital Artist on major Feature Films including: Babe Pig in the City, 10,000 BC and Ridley Scott's epic film Gladiator.

Her personal work has been exhibited in various prestigious galleries such as the British Museum, Turner Contemporary, V&A Childhood Memories Museum.
